About

About Kay:

Hello, I'm Kay, an emerging contemporary jewellery designer residing in the serene landscapes of rural Tasmania. My artistic journey is fuelled by a profound passion for crafting distinctive and sustainable pieces of wearable art.

As a jewellery artist, I specialise in ethically sourced materials, weaving recycled precious metals and responsibly harvested gemstones into my creations. Nature is my muse, and I often incorporate sustainably sourced wood and organic textures, imparting a captivating touch to each piece. My jewellery goes beyond adornment; it tells a story, evokes emotion, and resonates with those who appreciate the fusion of artistry and sustainability.

Feel free to explore my portfolio, a testament to my commitment to quality, attention to detail, and sustainable practices. Each piece is a labour of love, meticulously crafted to capture the essence of nature and evoke a unique emotional response.

About My Journey:

My journey began in Alexandra township, Johannesburg, South Africa, and meandered through Australia and South Africa before settling in Tasmania in 2018. The Bay of Fires and the rainforests of North East Tasmania rekindled my creativity and gave me inspiration for my jewellery designs.

Craftsmanship and Ethos:

My handmade jewellery is an ode to ethical craftsmanship. Recycled precious metals, native timbers, and ethical gemstones are harmoniously blended to create pieces that not only captivate visually but also support and signal environmental consciousness.

The incorporation of wood, organic textures, and raw or faceted gemstones results in a collection that reflects the beauty and fragility of our natural environment. Through my creations, I aim to promote responsible consumption and raise awareness about the significance of sustainable practices in art and design.

Join the Journey:

Every piece I craft is a dedication to authenticity, craftsmanship, and the preservation of our precious natural resources. I invite you to join me on this journey where art, nature, and sustainable living converge into unique, environmentally conscious jewellery. Each wearable artwork is an invitation to appreciate and revere the beauty that surrounds us.
